TIPS for the day!

I came upon this sign when i go through the pictures in Flickr today.

As a photographer, I do came across lots of 'pantang-larang' and advices from those with more experienced. But honestly, this is by far, one of the most important advice among all, AND i would say i'm totally agree with it. Nowadays, as we are quite aware of, many marriages failed because lacking of intimate physical touches. So for the GROOM, i will definitely advice you to print this sign out and stick in on your car windscreen. Firstly, it will remind you to be a more SENSITIVE MAN and secondly, if you can't even find the clitoris, it shows that your direction skills is very BAD. So the next time you get lost, please just ask someone on the road ok?.... :)

Friday night dinner at Noble Banquet.

This time I'm a guest. Yes, you're right. I'm not hired for this job. :) So my job for this dinner is to survey the place and try the food. Since it's held on friday, the dinner will start quite late as everyone are rushing back from work. The first impressions I had when I first see the place is quite good. But not for long. Since the front parking area is quite small; Its already packed with cars from bride/bridegroom's family, so we're guided to the back and soon I find myself at another unoccupied house 2 blocks away. Meaning we have to walk for a distance. What if it rains? And the best part is we have to fork out RM5 for the parking. Nice. Please do keep note that this is not a hotel. I don't see the reason why we have to pay for the parking.

Once at the main entrance, I see a smart looking man in white welcoming us in. That's the bridegroom, Man of the day! A warm handshake deleted all the bad impressions we had 5 minutes ago. On reaching the ballroom, I realised it's very nicely decorated. Not too bright nor it's too dim. Just nice. The lighting is ok. Sound system is ok too.

Continue here... SO, the food part, i'm quite satisfied with the food. The best part is, its Fusion, a mixture between east and west...Chinese food prepare with Western styles...cool. I think thats what separates Noble Banquet from others. The serving is quite fast. Not much hassle. To have a Chinese wedding with a twist, no doubt Noble Banquet would be under my recommendation list...good luck...

I'm sure this is the few numbers that will linger in a guy's head if he's having his wedding dinner in a restaurant. This is the part that worries most of the newly weds. Whether they have enough to cover the bills is something that will always come into the picture, sooner or later. And it's shocking to know that there's a market rate for angpows. Actually is there a way to avoid this kind of bills? Of course, just go for the package that's suitable for your need.

Honestly, how many of you really noticed how luxurious is the dishes when you're invited to a dinner? Ok, put it the other way around. Why on earth do you pay attention to the dishes instead of the wedding couple? Are you a little nutty to feel offended if the dishes is 599 instead of 999? You're suppose to be there to feel happy for the wedding couple. To share their joy and happiniess. And for parents, there's nothing more important to show off other than you're son/daughter with your daughter/son-in-law. So let's just concentrate on the event rather than on the dishes. Can we just give them a break?

ONE year in advance?

Can you believe it? One of my friend is getting married and from what she told me, most of the restaurant is already fully booked since one year ago? For the well-known ones, i'm sure with all the wedding dinner lined-up, they have no worries if there's not much walk-in during the normal days... :)

Anyone have this kind of experience of wanted to get married but can't seems to book any restaurants/hotels OR worst, were forced to accept any available ones bcos the date is fix?

Wedding for Dummies

A guide for the newly weds :) If only it's easy as that. I guess this is the factor that makes every wedding so special. No 2 wedding are alike. There's always something different and that's what every photographers look forward to on every assignment.

And for those that are getting married, don't get so uptight with the process. Just relax and enjoy every moment of it. A lot couples get too stressed with preparing the perfect wedding and ending up quarrelling. Remember to enjoy during your wedding preparations period, coz it will help tighten the bonding between two of you.

I believe that little little things like choosing the wedding card will help to enhance your relationship during this hectic moments. It's not a time to proof anything to anyone. Remember that it's a time to get closer, not the other way around :)

Difference between the normal wedding photographers and wedding photojournalisms?

Ok, so what's the difference between this two? Basically, both photographer's mission is to captures the moment of your wedding day, BUT the approach that a wedding photojournalist uses is the quiet approach. No poses were required as the photographer will capture all the candid motions thru his/her lens. This will ensure both married couple were at ease and look as natural as possible.

At the end of the day, you will have pictures that tells a story... A story that will bring back sweet memories whenever you look back after many years down the road. I'm quite sure that is what everyone wants as part of their lifes. So happy smiling...
